Staff Mobile Engineer

Staff Mobile Engineer (E4) About the Role: Built is looking for a Staff Mobile Engineer (E4) to lead and evolve our mobile platform. This is a senior individual contributor role with broad technical ownership, deep hands-on development, and meaningful influence across the organization. You’ll serve as the technical owner of the Built Inspection Application, shaping its architecture, performance, reliability, and developer experience. Beyond a single application, you’ll help define how mobile engineering is done at Built - setting standards, influencing roadmaps, and partnering closely with Product, Design, Backend, and Platform teams to ensure mobile is a first-class citizen across our platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex mobile problems, thinking at the platform level, and raising the engineering bar through both execution and influence. What You’ll Do: Mobile Engineering & Development Design, build, and maintain native iOS (Swift / SwiftUI) and Android (Kotlin / Jetpack Compose) applications Own the Built Inspection Application end-to-end, including architecture, quality, stability, and long-term scalability Lead complex feature development from concept through production and post-launch support Architect secure, performant, and maintainable mobile solutions Ensure strong standards for testing, observability, performance, accessibility, and offline/data-sync behavior
