(Senior) IT Project Manager

Please Note: Sponsorship is not available for this position. This position has a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of five (5) working days per month onsite at the Blacksburg campus. Required Qualifications: • Master's degree in relevant field, such as business administration, management, information technology, or computer science, etc., or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience • PMP certification required, or employee must acquire it within 18 months of the hire date (required at the senior level) • Proven experience as a project manager • Demonstrated experience with the Microsoft Office suite • Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in concise business terms to all levels of management, including senior leaders • Strong organization, time management, and interpersonal skills • Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities with high attention to detail • Ability to provide high-level expertise across a broad range of business and/or IT-related subject matter areas (e.g., SDLC, Waterfall, Agile methodologies) • Success in building and maintaining customer relationships at multiple levels Preferred Qualifications: • Documented experience in Project Management in similarly structured organizations to higher education (e.g. healthcare, government and higher education) • Knowledge and experience in Scrum framework
